Say Something about Amoragori Juba Sangha.
It was 1955, Amoragori and the neighbouring villages under Amta-II block, P.S.- Joypur, Dist.- Howrah, State- West Bengal, India has been sank into the darkness of illiteracy, ignorance and superstition. A few active youths united themselves and formed “Amoragori Juba Sangha’’.
AJS has started an old age home at Amoragori village under the Joypur P.S. of Howrah district in West Bengal since 2009. The Old age home provide support to 18 helpless old aged women who came from different parts of the area. All the services are offered to the women completely free of cost when MCSK food for hungry Foundation, West Bengal Chapter supported at the first time.
Health care as well as Eye operation (mostly cataract-IOL) with weekly clinic for day care treatment of post operative patients is the major and important activity of AJS. As per advise of the doctors from Rotary Narayan Nethralaya, Kolkata about 300 patients are seen, of which about 50%,i.e. about 150 persons may be candidates for cataract surgery per week at our weekly eye clinic.
Health care with weekly clinic for different health problems have been organizing by AJS. Only 48 clinics x 150 patients (7200) will be successfully checked-up and cured by AJS’s doctors per year.
AJS is offered for educational support to 450 helpless, poor and meritorious children -students from our target area for their future development per year.
